    Here are some of the questions we've been asked...well...frequently.  If you have any questions please contact us and we'll be happy to answer them. We look forward to hearing from you.

    How do I get a price quote on painting?

    With Your Painters, Inc. it's easy.  Contact us whichever way is best for you -  

    You can always arrange for a free in-home estimate .  We'll review what needs to be done and based on our visit prepare a firm, detailed quote for the work . 

    Or if you prefer we can talk it through on the phone (works well for basic and/or small jobs) 630-384-9680 .

    Or you can email pictures and questions to - dave@yourpainters.com . 

    Or if you're wanting work done immediately after you close on a property, but need a price quote beforehand - we can work through the realtor to coordinate a time for us to visit the home (with the present owner's consent) and then prepare a quote.

    We'll always do our best to make it easy.  And we'll be accurate so there aren't any surprises.

    May I speak with some of your recent clients?

    Definitely.  Upon completion of a project we routinely ask our customers if they would be willing to serve as a "can be contacted" reference.  Most say yes, so our list is extensive and current.

    My tight timeframe is stressful.  Will you work evenings and weekends if needed ?

    Yes, we will.  And we never change our price if weekends or evenings are required to keep our commitment.  We understand that when you need a project completed you are relying on us to complete it for you - on time and on budget.  No last minute, unpleasant surprises.  That's why we make sure that we fully understand your timeframe.

    Do you have a certificate of insurance that covers me if an accident occurs?

    Yes, we do.  A copy is available upon request.  This is routinely required by building managers and provided for work in buildings in downtown Chicago.  You or your property management company can also be specifically named as an insured.

    Can you match my existing color?

    Yes.  If you no longer have the name of the color originally used (an old paint can) we can take a sample from the surface to be painted and have a color-matched paint created.  There is an additional charge of $40 due to the added trip and time.

    Are you licensed?

    Yes, whenever required by local ordinance we obtain the proper licensing before beginning any work.  There are no state or county licensing requirements in Illinois. Some towns require a license or permit, but it's more revenue generationj versus quality assurance. 

    Do your painters speak English?

    Oddly, yes we all do.  We find that English greatly improves communication with our customers

    Why aren't you guys chiselers like other contractors I've used?

    Because we weren't raised that way.  We overdeliver on our promises and place a high value on integrity, quality workmanship, value, and our great reputation.

    Is the price for my painting based on the square footage of the walls being painted?

    Great question.  No, it isn't.  It is a combination of factors - time, skill required, equipment needed, and the size of the area. Here are a couple of examples that illustrate that combination -

    A standard kitchen with windows, cabinets, and appliances has much less wall square footage than many other rooms, but requires more time and skill (due to the cutting of all the edges).  

    A room with higher ceilings requires more up and down ladder work (time) than a larger room with standard height ceilings.

    A finished basement, while large, is typically one of the least costly areas to have painted due to the relatively low number of edges to cut (no windows or fewer and smaller windows).  Ditto on a standard garage.

    Is it ok if I pay you more than you asked?
